Nissan Silvia Non-Racing Car Drift Trial Drift Trial Suzuka Circuit East Course Time: 10:30    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial Event using the Silvia, the front engine rear wheel drive sports car of Nissan that was popular among young drivers of its day. The stage is set on the Suzuka Circuit East course. The year model is not restricted, and only non-racing cars are allowed in the event. The Silvia is a car that is relatively easy to drift due to its front engine rear wheel drive layout and its excellent chassis balance. However the engine power is relatively low in its stock state, so the first thing you'll want to do is raise its power. The trick to gaining high scores is to enter the first section at the highest possible speed, and to maintain your drift during the 2nd and 3rd sections where you need to change direction. Be especially careful for the 4th section, it is easy to spin out during the descent in the latter half!

Tuning is allowed up to 480PP, making it possible to fully tune the car, but what will make the real difference in time will be how you set the suspension and drive train. Brands Hatch is a course with a lot of mid to high speed corners, so it will be important to try to find a setting that stabilizes the car in those speed ranges. Aerodynamic parts that improve downforce is especially recommended.

BMW M Series Non-Racing Cars Drift Trial Drift Trial Cape Ring North Time: 14:30    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial Event using non racing versions of the high performance BMW M Series. The M series cars are powerful to begin with, so we recommend tuning the drive train and suspension rather than increasing power. It will help to set the car so that it can be swung around in a wide speed range from slow to high speeds. Try not to go too wide on the tight corners from section 1 to 3, and maintain your drift as long as possible in section 4 in order to gain the highest scores. Section 4 is not only long but is on an ascending slope, so power and speed will be key here. Try to clear the section at full throttle!

You'll find that many French cars are compact front engine front wheel drives, but we recommend finding a rear wheel drive as they are better suited for drifting. And city tracks tend to have narrow course width and the corners are tight. You will need to be careful in section 2 where you need to change direction, as it is easy to hit the walls here. Though it is best to maintain your drift while going through multiple corners, it is important to drive each corner carefully when you are first getting used to it. Use the wide course width at the third section to your advantage to aim for a high score.

Muscle cars from this era have a powerful engine but the suspension and transmission are not very advanced. To improve lap times, you will need to tune the suspension and drivetrain, rather than just increasing power. You will probably require a full customizable transmission for the best results. If the car is leaning a lot in the corners the wheel on the inner side will tend to lift and lose traction, so installing an LSD will help to prevent this.

There are 3 types of rear wheel drive cars, categorized by its engine mounting position. The front engine rear wheel drive (FR) with the engine mounted in front of the car, the mid engine rear wheel drive (MR) with the engine mounted behind the drivers seat, and the rear engine rear wheel drive (RR) with the engine mounted towards the rear of the car. Though they are all rear wheel drive, these have drastically different characteristics under extreme racing conditions, and you should choose a drivetrain that best suits you. It also depends on the car but as a general rule the FR is relatively straightforward, and while they are slightly more difficult to drive, MR and RR are fast if you have the skill to maximize their potential.
