The key to driving fast on this course lies in maintaining stability in its many lengthy mid- to high-speed corners. Set the car up to minimise understeer so that it will allow you to accelerate quickly out of the corners. In 4WD cars, it is effective to lessen the drive force of the front wheels, and supply more power to the rear wheels. In addition, the balance between the hardness of the suspension and the negative camber angle will greatly affect the amount of grip, so try a variety of settings to find the one that suits you best.

Lamborghini's are available in four-wheel drives (4WD) and mid-engine rear wheel drives (MR). For stability a 4WD is better, but if you want higher scores in drifting, you'll want to use an MR. These will be trickier to drive, but it will be much easier to keep the car drifting for a distance, such as in Section 2 of this track. If you're confident about your skill, definitely select an MR. The section for gaining the most points is also Section 2. There are 3 scored sections, so how well you fare here will greatly affect your score. In addition, because of the characteristics of this track, a mistake will generally mean you will hit the guard rails. Be careful of your driving line and entry speed!

4WD Non-Racing Car Drift Trial Drift Trial Matterhorn Dristelen Time: 11:50    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial event using four-wheel drive (4WD) non-racing cars. Because 4WD cars are very stable, it is important to set the car to accommodate drifting. First and foremost you need to increase the amount of drive force to the rear tyres to achieve this. In addition, 4WD cars tend to be heavier, so you'll also want to increase engine power. If you want to save on PP for engine tuning, you could also install a 'Nitro Kit'. In regards to the track, you must be careful of going too fast into a corner with poor visibility – there are many blind corners due to the inclined track. In Section 2 there is also a jumping spot you'll need to watch for. The final section can gain you the most time, but again, make sure you don't overdo it into the turns.

Racing cars reaching up to 700PP are extremely powerful and require careful control of the throttle, especially those with two-wheel drive. If you have issues driving a clean lap because of the excess power, you can increase the strenght of the TCS, or alternatively select a four-wheel drive car that is more stable to begin with. The course may appear to be more advantageous to cars with low downforce, but balance is key. Even if you are faster in the straights, if it slows you down that much more in the corners it will not be optimum. Set the downforce to match your driving style and type of car, and don't forget to adjust the gear ratios accordingly.

Japan's leading supercar, the Lexus LFA, is a bit tricky in terms of handling in its stock state. The objective of tuning will be to tune the car to suit your driving style. If you dislike the oversteer characteristic apparent in this car, adjust the weight balance by putting a heavier ballast in the front. Also the suspension is fairly soft to begin with, and hardening the damper alone will immediately sharpen the steering response. Solely adjusting the suspension settings will improve controllability considerably. Find the best setting simply by trial and error.

In addition, it will be easy to spin out in both the first and second sections, due to the ups and downs of the track; work your throttle very carefully!

The narrow course width means that the recommended car here will be one that is relatively compact.
