This is an Expert level race event on the Suzuka Circuit 2014, where both driving skill and precise racing strategy will be required. The event is open to racing cars with 600PP or less. Because the fuel consumption and tyre wear will be quicker than normal, tyre management will be very important. The surface wetness level that requires change from dry to wet tyres is 30%. Driving on dry tyres over this will be dangerous. Also, the trick to making both dry and wet tyres last, is in avoiding sudden steering operations to prevent overloading the tyres. You want to make sure to drive meticulously through this one.

Racing Car Drift Trial Drift Trial Suzuka Circuit 2014 Time: 10:30    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial event using racing cars on the Suzuka Circuit 2014. There are 3 scoring sections and if you want a high score, how you handle sections 1 and 3 will make all the difference. At the Degner corner in the first section, rather than forcing a right hand drift all the way through, swinging to the left first will make it easier to maintain the drift. The Spoon curve is another section that requires a long drift to be maintained. Raise your entry speed to a level that won't force you off the track, and trace the driving line. Maintaining the drift as well as maintaining speed will be the key to a high score. If you want to aim for a high score on the 3rd section here, a mid-engine/rear-wheel drive (MR) is recommended.

Non-Racing Car Drift Trial Drift Trial Special Stage Route 5 Time: 21:40    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial event using non-racing cars on the Special Stage Route 5. Making mistakes on this track means you are likely to hit a wall, so you'll want to set your car up with a focus on controllability. Hardening and lowering the suspension will stabilise the car, but you'll still need to be careful as going over tall cornerstones with this setting will greatly upset the balance of your car. The most difficult out of the 6 scoring sections is the last one. You will be accelerating out of a hairpin and switching directions, so how well you can bring the car into a power drift by giving it throttle will determine the outcome. Rear-wheel drives will be prone to spinning out of control, so be very careful on the throttle.

Rally Car Super Lap Time Trial Chamonix West Time: 12:00    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Time Trial event using rally cars with 550PP or less. A 4WD car with lots of traction is recommended for this snow course. For good lap times your driving is more important than your tuning settings, but if you do increase downforce you'll be able to reduce drifting excessively sideways. Throttle control is also important when you're driving; going abruptly to full throttle or lifting off completely will affect the car's balance greatly, so you need to use partial throttle effectively, again to avoid drifting sideways too much.

It is possible to select from a large variety of cars for this event, and whether it be a 4WD with high stability and high traction or a lighter 2WD with sharp cornering performance, either one can achieve a Gold Prize if you maximise on their strong points. The suggested settings are slightly closer ratio gears, and if you can adjust downforce, keep in mind the front to rear balance. In the case of a 4WD, you'll need to adjust the front to rear power distribution. You'll want to set the car so that you don't experience a strong understeer in the 80R turn ahead of the Dunlop corner, and in the final corner.

The narrow track width means that you will want to choose a small car. Since the car will be a racing car, the only things you will need to tune are transmission and LSD settings. NSX Non-Racing Car Drift Trial Drift Trial Nürburgring Nordschleife Time: 15:00    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial event for the Honda/Acura NSX hosted on the Ndrburgring Nordschleife. Though the NSX has a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive (MR) layout, the 4WD NSX can also participate in this event. The most stable car will be the NSX CONCEPT '13, but if you are going for a high score then a standard NSX is recommended. Because of its high performance levels to begin with, some additional power, plus an upgraded and dropped suspension will make the car more competitive. The long initial section is the key to high scores. If it is too difficult to switch direction while drifting, you can let the grip recover for a moment and then initiate another drift.
