The power output of the car is more than adequate already, so tuning should focus on reducing weight. A high-speed track with frequent elevation changes such as this one tends to make the car unstable, so adding a rear wing is effective to counter this. However, increasing the rear down-force will also increase under-steer, so you must watch out for balance issues when you set up your car. The trick to improving lap times will be in how well you control your throttle. Make sure you get as much traction as possible without producing over-steer.

With five scoring sections and frequent elevation changes, the difficulty level of this event is fairly high. Beginners and Intermediate drivers should choose 4WD cars, and for higher scores, a rear-wheel drive is recommended. The most difficult spot in this trial is the climb from Section 2 to 3. You can lose speed quickly in a climb, so keep the throttle open as much as possible to maintain the drift for a higher score. If your car tends to lose balance here it will be effective to set a strong negative camber.

The key to this Time Trial is in how drivable you make the F40 in your set up, as the car is well known for being a wild beast! Try different things to find the handling characteristic that suits you. In terms of driving do everything by the book, especially taking care to control the throttle in the mid-range.
