The race is on at "Tokyo R246", a track with an extremely long home straight. Although you'll want to set up your car for high top speed in order to get ahead of your opponents, there are many mid- to high-speed corners as well where a good amount of downforce can help you. When participating in a rear-wheel drive car, be careful at the exit of tight corners such as Turn 1, where it's easy to lose both traction and the car's balance.

The recommended car choice are front engine, rear-wheel drives. Section 1 is a high speed section, so you'll want to start with a relatively hard suspension and low downforce. If you've selected a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive then you'll also want to set the rear toe further inward. For a 4-wheel drive make sure to set your front-to-rear torque distribution further to the rear. The stage is set on the "Tsukuba Circuit", where the D1 Grand Prix is making its return after a 10 year hiatus. In Section 4, from the Dunlop corner to the 80R (where you'll make the most points), you'll want to minimise your steering operation and focus on your throttle control to maintain the drift. If the rear end is unstable here, try dropping the rear ride height, or even add a rear wing. Try not to overrun the course, and enjoy the hardcore drifting only possible in an FR!
