Although there is a wide selection of cars available, most of these won't have a lot of power. Decelerate well in advance to avoid speeding, and accelerate as you pass through the section.

4WD / Rally Car Super Lap Time Trial Matterhorn Rotenboden Time: 19:00    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a time trial event using 4WD rally cars with 550PP or less. Engine power will be a must on this track due to its many ups and downs. In addition, its consecutive twisting corners mean that a car with a shorter wheelbase will have an advantage. Shorter gears are also recommended. Front and rear balance is important in terms of downforce, but overall you will get better times if you set it fairly strong to increase ground contact. There are many settings that will make a difference here including the LSD and front-to-rear drive force distribution; try a variety of settings to find what's best for you.

Total balance of the car is imperative in order to drive fast on the Suzuka Circuit. The S curve in the first half is a good guide to gauge your performance. If your car does not perform well there, it won't be possible to achieve a good lap time on this track. Set your suspension stiffness and alignment so that the front responds well to changing directions in the S curve. To increase the response of the steering you will want to set a smaller camber and harden the suspension to begin with. If you experience understeer in the corner however, then try setting a larger camber and soften the suspension.

On the " Nürburgring Nordschleife", your own mistakes are your worst enemies. Try raising the front and rear down-force to maximise stability on this track. In terms of car category, GT cars are recommended over LMP cars, especially those of the GT300 class as they have a good balance of power and controllability during drifts. To clear the difficult first section successfully you need to drift early. The white line is a good marker for when to start your drift. Watch your timing though as the later you initiate drifting, the higher your chances will be to run off the track.

When choosing your car in this event, MR (mid-engine, rear-wheel drive) cars are recommended. There are only two scoring sections and they are close together, so any mistakes will greatly affect your score. For high scores you need to drive these two sections as if they were a single, long drift section. It is easy to run off the track on the first right-hand corner in the first section, so you’ll want to prepare your car to drift from just before the exit of the tunnel.

American Racing Car Drift Trial Drift Trial Mid-Field Raceway Time: 09:30    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a drift trial event for American racing cars. You can enter the event in stock cars and some rally cars, but the recommended models are late model touring cars. Many of the cars are powerful so adding high-grip tyres will feel easier to control. However, if you want high scores whilst drifting then you'll want to challenge the event using 'Comfort' tyres. This track is not that difficult overall but you do need to watch out for Section 2. The bank and angle of the surface here can change the orientation of your car quickly, so make sure you don't countersteer too late.

Section 1 and Section 3 are the places to really gain points in this event. Drifting on an upward incline in Section 1 requires that you have adequate engine power. You'll want to have enough power that you can slide out the tail end of the car using the throttle alone. It's also important to enter a drifting state before entering the scoring section. Mostly the same goes for Section 3, but because this is on a descent instead, you need to be careful not to speed. Control your speed at a level that enables you to trace the driving line while drifting.
