Prijevod:
Can you describe what we'll find in GT PSP?
To put it simply, you have two main modes - single-player and multi-player.
In single player you have classic races, time-attack, drift mode and Mission Challenge. This mode has the familiar things you'd expect in a GT game, including license tests. There are of course elements designed specifically for the PSP, starting with adhoc mode, which will allow 4 players to race each other. In adhoc mode, you can also trade the cars in your garage or you can share them with others. These are unique features found only in GT PSP.
In development terms, what are the main differences between the PSP, PS2 and PS3 versions of Gran Turismo?
It's too difficult to answer in these terms. It's pretty clear that different consoles offer different possibilities and varying development environments. To partly answer your question, we can say that when talking about physics, the game engine is the basis on which everything is built upon and everything around it can be ported onto different machines.
Can you go into detail about car trading?
There is a class of cars in the game that can be freely traded, without any limitations. For example, if I have 100 cars and you have as many in yours, we can freely choose between 200 cars total. There are then cars which are only available through trading. When trading my car to you I will of course lose that car. Finally, there are certain cars which cannot be traded or shared. The only way to get these is to win them in single player mode. There will be three different categories of cars.
GT's renowned for its level of authenticity and simulation of real performance. How did you keep those standards high for GT PSP?
You can't deny the fact that the PSP has its advantages. You can play anywhere, with anyone. While it's not possible to fully recreate the very same feeling you get from playing GT in Full HD, a new facet of gaming opens its possibilities. If you have 15 minutes, if you're in your car, on the bus or on a train, you can turn it on, and play. So instead of recreating the same feeling you get when playing at home, we created a portable Gran Turismo that will offer the same satisfaction you're used to when playing any of the GT series outings.
Will GT PSP interact with GT5 on PS3?
We're treating GT PSP as sort of an invitation to the world of Gran Turismo. GT PSP will help new players get acquainted to the series and therefore GT5. If you have a car in GT PSP, then it will be unlocked in GT5.
Did the development of GT PSP affect GT5's in any way?
I can't deny this fact. If a person is working on one thing, she cannot be working on something else at the same time. All Gran Turismo games are made at Polyphony Digital, so manpower had to be shifted from one project to the other.
Finally, about GT5, how would you summarize this new chapter in the series?
About GT5, specifications are not finalized, we can release it anytime now, but we can also spend an infinite amount of time polishing things. That's the current situation. We'll release it when we're totally happy with the result. And there's so much in GT5 that it would be impossible to fully describe it using just a summary.
