Tuned Car Drift Trial Drift Trial   Eiger Nordwand Short Track Time: 09:40    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial event using only a Tuned car produced by a famous tuning shop. Most of these cars are high powered, so the focus will be on setting up the car so that its handling is more suited for drifting. Suspension and drivetrain are of course important, but if the car has too much power and is difficult to control, you could also use the power limiter to suppress the engine output. The Eiger Nordwand Short Track has many tight corners so be careful not to spin out. Especially in the first and second sections where you need to cut back in the tight turns, how you maintain your drift here will have a major effect on your score.

GT500 Super Lap Time Trial Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Time: 13:30    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Time Trial event using a GT500 racing car with 600PP or less. The Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca consists of mid- to low-speed corners. Quick lap times on this circuit will depend on gaining traction at corner exits as well as cornering speeds in the mid-speed turns. Though GT500 cars produce a lot of torque from their low RMP range, it can be an effective option to shorten the gears to improve traction, though this is not absolutely necessary. Of course increasing aerodynamic downforce will also improve your lap times. Last but not least, rather than braking at the last possible moment into the bends, it is recommended that your focus is placed more on the exits to the corners, to set yourself up for an earlier acceleration out of the turns.

Although it is a mountainous course the Matterhorn Dristelen consists of mid- to high-speed corners, requiring a car with high power and stability. To quicken lap times, suspension settings will be important in addition to reducing weight. If you have difficulty stabilising the car at the flat out corners, remember that adding aerodynamic parts is an effective option.

2 Wheel Drive Race Cars Drift Trial Drift Trial Grand Valley Speedway Time: 11:10    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial event using 2 wheel drive race cars. Mid engine rear wheel drives (MR) are recommended for higher scores, but MR's are harder to control, and you may find front engine rear wheel drives to be more manageable. In addition, touring car racers and rally cars are generally more suited for drifting in comparison to pure racing cars. If too much power is making it hard to handle, you could also consider de-tuning the car to lower its power. As for the course, Grand Valley has relatively tall cornerstones so you'll need to set lines that avoid riding over them too much. The scoring sections are relatively long and you'll also need to make sure you can maintain a long drift throughout section.

Pre-1980's Japanese Cars Drift Trial Drift Trial Ascari Full Track Time: 15:00    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial event using Japanese cars Produced in or before 1979. Older cars do not have a lot of power, so the first step is boosting the engine's output. In addition, many models sit fairly high with soft suspension, so you'll want to lower the ride height and set the suspension harder for better drift control. In regards to the track, the first and second sections should be considered as one section, and you'll want to drift continually through them. You'll tend to score higher if you set your entry speed a bit lower and set your driving line on the inside. For gaining lots of points, the third and final sections are key. Try to maintain your drift when you switch directions!

Non-Race Car Super Lap Time Trial Willow Springs International Raceway: Streets of Willow Springs Time: 18:00    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Time Trial event using non-racing cars with 500PP or less. Traction and turning is important on this track due to its many mid to low speed corners. Rather than selecting a large bodied car, it will be more advantageous to select a compact car with a shorter wheelbase. In regards to tuning, if it has enough power to begin with you'll want to raise PP by reducing the weight of the car. To aim for the Gold prize you'll definitely need to tune the drivetrain and transmission. Set the car so that it allows you to escape out of corners quickly and accelerate at full throttle.

Expert Level Front Engine Rear Wheel Drives: Non-Racing Car Challenge Single Race Twin Ring Motegi East Course / 5 Laps Time: 10:30    Track Surface Water: 0% This is an expert level race event in which you attempt to overtake as many cars as possible within 5 laps. Front engine, rear wheel drive (FR) non-racing cars with 500PP or less can participate in the event. FR's become trickier to control as their power increase, and they require sensitive throttle work. Slamming the accelerator pedal in a corner will just make your car spin out; you need to feel and predict the limits of your tyre grip while you open the throttle gradually. It's also effective to just set the TCS settings higher to do this for you.

Four wheel drive non-racing cars with 500PP or less can participate in the event. While four wheel drives are extremely stable and give excellent traction, it is also possible to adjust their steering characteristics by adding a torque sensing centre differential. If you want to reduce understeer, all you have to do is reduce the torque distribution to the front wheels!

Racing Cars Drift Trials Drift Trial Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps Time: 15:40    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial event using any racing car. The majority of the scoring sections are mid- to high-speed corners, so you will be required to perform a series of high speed drifts. Harder suspension settings are recommended for this reason; however if you make the suspension too hard the handling of the car will start to become overly sensitive, so you will want to make adjustments while gradually feeling out the changes in drive feel. The place for gaining lots of points at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is through the 3rd and 4th sections. Through both sections you will have to make sure that your drift is not interrupted. The throttle should basically be to the floor for the most part, with partial throttle only used to reestablish control. You should make sure that the throttle is never lifted off completely.

German Rear Wheel Drive Non-Racing Cars Drift Trial Drift Trial Trial Mountain Circuit Time: 15:20    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Drift Trial event using German rear-wheel drive non-racing cars. If you're looking to score high, cars with good rear traction like mid-engine/rear-wheel drives (MR) and rear-engine/rear-wheel drives (RR) are recommended. However, they will be slightly harder to control compared to front-engine/rear-wheel drives (FR), so if you want more stability a (FR) may be a better choice. The Trial Mountain Circuit has a relatively wide track width, so using the full width of the course when driving is the secret to higher scores. The high-speed part of the first section will surely test your bravado; aim for a driving line that barely skims the wall!
