Renault Sport Clio R.S. Super Lap Time Trial Brands Hatch: Indy Circuit Time: 10:00    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Time Trial event using the Clio R.S. '11, a hot hatch created by the motorsports department of the manufacturer Renault, "Renault Sport". This car can be purchased in the car dealership or acquired by completing all stars in the Novice class. The trick to shortening your time is in your racing lines, rather than tuning. You must make sure to clip the inside on the first corner, and on the exit of the last corner, try to turn your car's heading as early as possible to allow full throttle. Use the full width of the wide track effectively for the best result.

The event is geared for mid to expert level drivers with Skid Recovery turned OFF. We recommend tuning the car for high top speed to match the long straightaway. The other key is to find a setting that can handle mid to high speed corners well. Hardening the suspension will stabilize the car to a certain point, but keep in mind that making it too hard will increase understeer.

Because this is an urban course with tight corners, we recommend tuning your car for quicker acceleration. This can be done by replacing the transmission to shorten your gear ratios (reducing top speed), but installation of an LSD and reinforcing your clutch and flywheel is also recommended. Shelby GT350 Super Lap Time Trial Willow Springs International Raceway: Big Willow Time: 15:00    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Time Trial event using the GT350, a hot model tuned by Carol Shelby for racing based on the Mustang Fastback. A courtesy car is provided so that you can participate in the event without owning the car. With a great balanced chassis, its handling is quick, but you still have to be careful as turning the steering wheel too much will result in oversteer of the car. Because of the powerful engine, you'll also have to be careful on the throttle. The trick to attaining the best times is to control your throttle carefully to avoid that oversteer.

Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32, R33, R34) Non-Racing car Super Lap Time Trial Autumn Ring Time: 10:00    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Mid to Expert level Time Trial event using one of the leading Japanese Sportscars, the Nissan Skyline GT-R. Skid Recovery Force is turned OFF in this event. As long as it is a non-racecar, any model from the R32/R33/R34 can be selected. The GT-R is a powerful and stable car, but in technical tracks with repetitive tight corners, its weight can be an issue. Turning and acceleration are the key points on this track, so the first step you may want to take in tuning is weight reduction. If you want to change the steering characteristics, it will be more effective to adjust the drive distribution rather than changing the suspension settings. The car will tend to stabilize more and understeer as you allocate more drive force to the front wheels.

Suzuki Cappuccino Super Lap Time Trial Willow Springs International Raceway: Streets of Willow Springs Time: 10:00    Track Surface Water: 0% This is a Time Trial Event for Expert level drivers using the Suzuki Cappuccino, a popular compact FR sportscar with great driving performance. Skid recovery is turned OFF in this event. Because its power is fairly subtle, we would recommend tuning for more power output to begin. It will also be effective to fine tune the drive train as well as suspension, as these will not affect your performance points. The short wheel base makes the car naturally prone to oversteer, so the key to driving and tuning will be in how to suppress this behavior.
